Sodium Hypochlorite Electrolyzer

Sodium Hypochlorite Electrolyzer

Sodium Hypochlorite Electrolyzer is a main part of Sodium hypochlorite generator,  Sodium hypochlorite generator is a kind of water treatment disinfection and sterilization equipment. The equipment uses salt water as raw material and generates sodium hypochlorite solution through electrolytic reaction.

Sodium hypochlorite is a strong oxidizing agent and disinfectant, which can be used in the treatment of bacteria-containing sewage in hospitals, the treatment of cyanide-containing wastewater in electroplating, and can also be used in swimming pools, domestic drinking water, domestic sewage disinfection, food processing plant environment and medical equipment, restaurants, public canteens Disinfect tableware and drinking utensils.

The core part of the sodium hypochlorite electrolyzer is titanium electrode, is a closed electrolytic cell container composed of a group of  noble metal oxides coated with titanium plate or mesh, and an industrial pure titanium plate as the cathode. And the inside of the electrolytic tank is equipped with a backwashing system and a cooling system.

The electrolyzer is generally composed of a cover, a sodium hypochlorite generator electrode group includes (titanium anode plate + titanium cathode plate + bipolar electrode plate) and the like. The titanium anode of the sodium hypochlorite generator in the electrolytic cell is the conductor through which the current enters or leaves the electrolyte. The electrolysis process is an oxidation-reduction reaction at the phase interface between the titanium anode and the titanium cathode. The titanium anode in sodium hypochlorite generator is divided into two types: unipolar sodium hypochlorite generator titanium anode and bipolar sodium hypochlorite generator titanium anode according to the way the plates are connected to the power supply

Maintenance of Sodium Hypochlorite Electrolyzer

During the electrolysis process of the sodium hypochlorite electrolyzer, calcium, magnesium and other ionic compounds in the water will gradually accumulate on the surface of the sodium hypochlorite generator electrode to form scale, and the scaling speed is related to the hardness of the local water quality. After the scale is formed, the electrolysis efficiency will gradually decrease. When the scale is serious, it will block the inside of the anode and affect the electrolysis, and even cause corrosion or short circuit to the titanium anode of the sodium hypochlorite generator. Therefore, when the electrode of the sodium hypochlorite electrolyzer is scaled, the electrode of the sodium hypochlorite electrolyzer should be pickled and descaled, and the pickling cycle should be extended or shortened according to the water quality.
