Weekly Price Changes in China's Titanium Market (July 29 - August 2)

In the past week, China's titanium market exhibited a relatively calm state, with prices remaining stable and the supply-demand relationship relatively balanced. However, industry experts believe this state may not last long. As the global economy gradually recovers, and with the gradual activation of China's aerospace and military markets as well as the upcoming maintenance period in the chemical industry, the demand for titanium materials is expected to increase further in the second half of the year. Nonetheless, due to the current overheating of investment in the titanium industry, the risk of overcapacity is also gradually increasing. Companies need to enhance their risk awareness to avoid excessive investment and the occurrence of overcapacity issues.

The performance of various material markets is as follows:

Titanium Ingots

Production:Significant decline, some companies reducing production, prices falling.

Price:Pure titanium ingots quoted at around 55,000 to 58,000 RMB/ton; TC4 titanium alloy ingots quoted at around 60,000 to 62,000 RMB/ton.

Titanium Scrap

Price Trend: Continued decline, ample supply.

Price: Pure titanium scrap quoted at around 28,000 RMB/ton; TC4 alloy scrap quoted at around 22,000 RMB/ton.

Titanium Slabs

Production: Reduced by companies, prices falling, decreased demand.

Price: Pure titanium slabs quoted at around 62,000 to 63,000 RMB/ton, with ample spot market resources.

Hot-Rolled Titanium Plates (Coils)

Demand: Decreased, prices stable.

Price: Pure titanium hot-rolled coils quoted at around 82,000 to 85,000 RMB/ton; pure titanium hot-rolled plates quoted at around 80,000 RMB/ton.

Titanium Bars and Wires

Demand: Stable, prices unchanged.

Price: Pure titanium bars quoted at around 120,000 to 140,000 RMB/ton; titanium alloy bars quoted at around 180,000 to 220,000 RMB/ton. Pure titanium wires (φ2 to φ4 mm) quoted at around 140 to 160 RMB/kg.

Titanium Tubes

Demand: Decreased, prices stable.

Price: Quoted at around 115,000 to 125,000 RMB/ton.
