Product Introduction
Description
Gr5 (Ti-6Al-4V) titanium alloy is the earliest and most widely used titanium alloy in the world. Its production accounts is about more than half of the world's total production of titanium alloy semi-finished products, more than 80% in the aerospace industry. Al enhances the room temperature strength and thermal strength of the alloy by solid solution strengthening the α phase, while V improves both strength and plasticity. V also inhibits the formation of the α2 superstructure phase and avoids alloy embrittlement during long-term use.
The main features of TC4 titanium alloy are excellent overall performance and good process characteristics. It also has excellent superplasticity, is suitable for forming by various pressure processing methods, and is welded in various ways.
The main semi-finished products of TC4 titanium alloy wire, bars, forgings, sheets, slabs and profiles. The alloy is mainly used in an annealed state, and may also be solid solution aging strengthening. However, the hardening cross section does not exceed 25 to 30 mm, and the solid solution aging strengthening is not suitable for a thick workpiece. At present, for the different conditions of use and process requirements, many Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloys have been modified in various countries. The main difference is the different Al and V contents and the low interstitial impurity content, as well as the addition of trace amounts.
