Product Introduction
A titanium anode rod, also known as a powered anode rod, is an advanced corrosion protection solution for water heaters. Unlike traditional sacrificial anodes (magnesium, aluminum, or zinc), titanium anode rods use a low-voltage impressed current system to protect the tank from corrosion without being consumed.
This ensures consistent protection, longer lifespan, and improved water quality, making it an ideal upgrade for modern water heating systems.
How It Works
Traditional anodes corrode (sacrifice themselves) to protect the tank
Titanium powered anodes apply a small electrical current (3V)
Corrosive ions (e.g., Cl⁻) are attracted to the titanium electrode
Corrosion activity inside the tank is significantly reduced
Result: Extended tank life and reduced maintenance
Why Upgrade from Sacrificial Anodes?
Type | Issues |
Magnesium Anode | Produces hydrogen sulfide → "rotten egg" smell |
Aluminum Anode | Consumes quickly in high conductivity water |
Zinc Anode | Limited lifespan, still consumable |
Titanium Anode (Powered) | No consumption, no odor, long-term protection |
Key Features
Permanent Corrosion Protection
Does not dissolve-provides continuous protection via impressed current. No Odor or Contamination
Eliminates hydrogen sulfide smell and avoids aluminum hydroxide buildup.Long Service Life
Can last years to decades, far exceeding sacrificial rods.Low Maintenance
No need for frequent inspection or replacement.Adaptable to All Water Conditions
Performs well in hard water, acidic, or alkaline environments.

Diameter: Common sizes include 3/4", 7/8", 1"
Thread Type: NPT or straight thread
Power Supply: Compatible with system voltage (typically low voltage DC)
Industry Background
Traditional magnesium rods require replacement every 1–2 years, and in poor water quality conditions, even sooner. Failure to replace them leads to:
Tank corrosion and perforation
Leakage and system failure
Increased maintenance costs
Titanium powered anode rods solve these issues by providing stable, long-term corrosion protection, regardless of water quality variations
