What Are The Heat Treatment Equipment For Titanium Alloys?

The heat treatment equipment of titanium alloy mainly includes heating equipment and cooling equipment.

Heating equipment mainly includes various heating furnaces, with bell-shaped, long, rectangular, well-shaped shapes, intermittent and continuous operation modes, and rail furnaces and salt bath furnaces. At present, there is also a kind of electricity-saving heating equipment, that is, a contact electric heating furnace, which directly connects the electrode with the titanium material to be processed, passes a large current, and relies on the resistance heat of the workpiece itself to heat the furnace body. Because it is internally heated and has good heat preservation performance, it can save about 60% of energy, but it is only suitable for products with constant cross-section and long enough. It is best that the length to diameter ratio is greater than 30. This method is more suitable for heating bars, profiles, pipes and wires. It has the highest productivity and good product quality. In order to facilitate loading and unloading, the furnace should be equipped with suitable baskets and fixtures. Cooling equipment mainly refers to the water cooling tank and oil cooling tank used for quenching. The location must be appropriate. It is generally placed next to the quenching furnace, below the furnace horizontal line, so that the titanium material can be quickly transferred after being discharged from the furnace and placed in the cooling tank. For titanium plates, especially thin plates, in order to prevent deformation, the plates must be erected in water (oil) during quenching.
