gr2 Titanium lap Jiont flange and stub end,lap jiont titanium flange and stub end, loose flange gr2 gr7 titanium MOQ:1pcs

Product Introduction

Introduction

A Lap Joint flange (also called a loose flange) is a movable flange that is not directly in contact with the process medium. The flange is not permanently welded to the pipe; instead, it is used together with a stub end or lap joint ring to form a bolted connection.

This design allows the flange to rotate freely during installation, making alignment and maintenance easier.

Lap joint flanges are widely used in water supply, drainage systems, and industrial piping projects.

These flanges are manufactured according to international standards such as:

  • ASME – ASME B16.5

  • DIN2630 – DIN2633

  • BS standards

Functions of Titanium Lap Joint Flanges

The main purpose of using lap joint flanges is material and cost optimization.

The structure consists of two components:

  1. Pipe Stub End – welded directly to the pipe

  2. Loose Flange Ring – free to rotate for bolt alignment

Typically:

  • The pipe section uses the same material as the pipeline

  • The flange ring may use lower-grade material to reduce cost

Advantages

Cost savings when using expensive alloy materials
Suitable for difficult welding conditions
Convenient installation and bolt hole alignment
Good solution for systems requiring frequent maintenance

Disadvantages

Lower pressure resistance compared to welded flanges
Welding ring strength is relatively lower (especially when thickness < 3 mm)
Not suitable for very high-pressure or high-temperature systems

Applications

Titanium lap joint flanges are widely used in:

Chemical processing plants

Water treatment systems

Marine engineering

Corrosive medium pipelines

Non-ferrous metal processing industries
