What is the reaction mechanism of titanium anode for electroplating?

What is the reaction mechanism of titanium anode for electroplating?

1. Application areas

⑴ Electro-galvanized sheet

Electro-galvanized sheet has good corrosion resistance, processability, weldability, and paintability, and is mainly used in automobiles, home appliances, light industry and other industries. Electro-galvanized products have double-sided, single-sided, and poor-thickness coatings depending on the coating. At the same time, according to the different post-plating treatments, there are products such as passivation, phosphating, and fingerprint resistance.

⑵ Electroplated tin plate

Electroplating tin plate is mainly used in the packaging industry. It has excellent corrosion resistance, beautiful appearance, high strength, light weight, good formability, and good resistance to organic substances, dilute acid, alkali and salt erosion. Tin plate products can be further divided into two categories: food (that is, food packaging products) and general-purpose products (that is, non-food packaging products).

2. Brief description of production process

几 After several pretreatment processes, the anodized strip will pass through a series of electrolytic cells. The electrolyte in these electrolytic cells contains soluble zinc or tin ions. After electrochemical reactions, they will be electrolytically deposited on the surface of the strip.

3. Reaction mechanism

Anode reaction (on the anode surface):

2 H2O → O2 ↑ + 4H + + 4e

The main cathode reaction (on the surface of the steel plate):

Zn2 + + 2e → Zn / Sn2 + + 2e → Sn

Cathode surface reaction:

2H2O + 4e → H2 ↑ + 2OH-
