| Application of titanium anode in electrolytic metallurgy |
Electrolytic extraction of non-ferrous metals can be carried out in a chloride electrolyte, a sulfate electrolyte, and a chloride sulfate mixed electrolyte. Electrolytic extraction of non-ferrous metals requires stable anodes, corrosion resistance, long-term use, and good electrocatalytic activity during the anode to reduce the overpotential and cell voltage of the anode reaction. The biggest difficulty in electrowinning metal extraction is the selection of suitable anode materials. In recent years, titanium anodes have been widely used in the field of electrolytic extraction of non-ferrous metals.

The advantages of choosing a titanium anode:
1. The cell voltage is lower than the lead-based anode: 0.05V-0.1V
2. The weight of the electrode is relatively light, the operation is convenient and easy to install.
3. Long service life, 1-2 times of lead-based alloy anode, and high oxygen evolution potential, strong oxidizing ability and good corrosion resistance.
4. The electrode adopts a mesh structure, which improves the fluidity of the electrolyte and makes the current distribution more uniform.
5. Reduced the labor expenditure, because there is no lead sulfate falling off, there is no precipitation at the bottom of the electrolyzer, which reduces the amount of personnel, and also avoids the deposition of conventional electrolysis, which needs to be returned to the fire treatment. High pollution and high energy consumption.
6. Since there are no other ions such as Sn, Sb, Ag in the coating, there is no secondary pollution to the solution.
7. Produced copper or nickel, can achieve high purity
8. Suitable for electrowinning nickel, copper, cobalt and other industries
