Product Introduction
A Titanium Pt (platinum-coated titanium) electrode is a functional electrode used in water ionizers and electrolysis water machines to generate alkaline and acidic ionized water through electrochemical reaction.
It is made by using high-purity titanium (Gr1 or Gr2) as the substrate and coating it with a thin layer of platinum (Pt) through electroplating or thermal deposition processes. This structure combines the mechanical strength and corrosion resistance of titanium with the excellent electrocatalytic performance of platinum.
Working Principle in Water Ionizers
During electrolysis, water is separated into:
Alkaline ionized water (cathode side)
Acidic ionized water (anode side)
At the same time, several active substances are generated in the system, such as:
Ozone (O₃)
Hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂)
Hypochlorous acid (HClO)
Because of these strong oxidizing conditions and frequent polarity switching, the electrode must have excellent stability and corrosion resistance.
