Titanium anode for copper recovery by etching solution
Titanium anode for copper recovery by etching solution Substrate material: Gr1 titanium plate Coating material:Ir/Ta titanium anode; Ru/Ir titanium anode
Product Introduction
Ir-Ta titanium anode is a type of mixed-metal oxide (MMO) coated titanium anode that is used in various electrochemical applications such as electroplating, water treatment, and cathodic protection.
"Ir" stands for Iridium, "Ta" stands for Tantalum, and the anode is made of titanium as the substrate material. The anode is coated with a layer of mixed-metal oxide that contains both iridium and tantalum oxides. The MMO coating enhances the anode's resistance to corrosion and improves its electrocatalytic properties.
It is often used in harsh and corrosive environments such as seawater or acidic solutions, due to their high resistance to corrosion. They have a long lifespan and can operate efficiently for extended periods of time without the need for maintenance or replacement.
It typically can be used for copper recovery by etching solution, as discussed earlier. The Ir-Ta coating on the titanium anode enhances its electrocatalytic properties, which speeds up the reaction between the etching solution and the copper being recovered.

7. Product use background and introduction:
During the manufacturing process of the PCB industry, a large amount of micro-etching solution, etching solution, copper nitrate and other metals containing different concentrations of copper and other metals are produced. The recycling value is high, and a small amount of copper heavy metals will also be present in the waste water. On the one hand, it causes a serious waste of resources, and on the other hand, heavy metals leak into the soil and water sources after discharge, which will cause serious pollution and harm to the natural environment on which we depend and our own health.1) Micro etching solution
Micro-etching solution includes sodium persulfate / sulfuric acid system and hydrogen peroxide / sulfuric acid system. In recent years, it has been widely used in PCB surface treatment processes, such as: PTH process, electroplating process, inner layer pretreatment, green oil before Processing, OSP processing and other production lines, direct electrolysis will damage the anode coating.
2) Etching solution
During the electronic board (PCB) etching process, the copper content in the etchant gradually increased. In order to achieve the best etching effect, the etching solution should contain 120 to 180 grams of copper and the corresponding amount of etching salt (NH4CI) and ammonia (NH3) per liter of etching solution. The etching solution regeneration cycle system is acidic and alkaline. The two systems can be divided into extraction method and direct electrolytic method. A large amount of post-use etching solution that needs to be discharged can be reduced and regenerated into a reusable etching solution. Therefore, the discharge of production waste liquid can be reduced, the reuse cost can reduce the production cost, and high-purity electrolytic metal copper can be extracted.
Advantages
1. High resistance to corrosion: The Ir-Ta coating on the titanium anode enhances its resistance to corrosion, even in harsh chemical environments. This means that the anode can withstand prolonged exposure to the etching solution without degrading or contaminating the copper recovery process.
2. Efficient copper recovery: The electrocatalytic properties of the Ir-Ta coating improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the copper recovery process, which can result in higher yields and lower costs.
3. Long lifespan: MMO coated titanium anodes have a long lifespan, which means they can be used for multiple cycles of the copper recovery process before needing to be replaced.
4. Low maintenance: Ir-Ta titanium anodes require little maintenance or cleaning, which can help reduce operating costs.
