Product Introduction
A Titanium Cathode Drum is a critical component used as the cathode electrode in electrolytic copper foil production systems. It is designed to enable uniform copper deposition under high-current-density operating conditions.
Manufactured from high-purity titanium, the cathode drum offers excellent corrosion resistance, dimensional stability, and mechanical strength, making it ideal for continuous electrolysis environments.
The drum typically features a cylindrical structure with a precision-machined surface, allowing copper ions in the electrolyte to be evenly deposited onto the rotating surface, forming high-quality copper foil.
Working Principle
During operation, the cathode drum rotates partially submerged in the electrolyte.
When electric current is applied:
Copper ions are reduced and deposited onto the drum surface
A uniform copper layer forms and is continuously peeled off as foil
The drum ensures consistent thickness, smooth surface, and stable production
