Product Introduction

Vanadium (V) is a light gray, high-melting-point refractory metal with excellent mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and alloying properties. It has a density of 5.96 g/cm³, a melting point of approximately 1,890°C, and a boiling point of approximately 3,380°C.

Vanadium exhibits multiple oxidation states (+2, +3, +4, and +5), with +5 being the most stable. It offers excellent resistance to hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid and demonstrates superior resistance to gas, salt, and water corrosion compared with many stainless steels.

Due to its outstanding properties, vanadium is widely used in metallurgy, aerospace, automotive manufacturing, rail transportation, electronics, defense industries, and chemical processing.

Key Benefits of Vanadium

  • High melting point and thermal stability

  • Excellent strength-to-weight ratio

  • Good corrosion resistance

  • Wear-resistant and impact-resistant

  • Non-magnetic properties

  • Excellent alloying element for specialty steels

  • Effective catalyst material in chemical processes

Applications
