Product Introduction
Titanium billet, also known as Ti-6Al-4V titanium billet, is a popular and widely used titanium alloy. It is composed of 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium. This alloy has a high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent corrosion resistance, and good toughness. One of the advantages of grade 5 titanium is its biocompatibility, which makes it an ideal material for medical implants, including dental implants and joint replacements. Its high strength and low weight make it an excellent choice for applications where weight reduction is important, such as aircraft components.
Pure and alloy grade 5 Titanium billets are forged by 2000t Hydraulic Forging Press, titanium billet will be processed again, such as rolled and forged, it can be rolled into round titanium bars, and forged in to titanium bar or titanium ring.
Grade 5 titanium heat treatment
1) Annealing
Grade 5 titanium Plate: 700-850℃, 0.5-2h, air cooling; grade 5 titanium bar and titanium forging: 700-800℃, 1-2h, air cooling.
2) Vacuum annealing
700-800°C, 0.5-2h, the furnace is cooled to below 200°C and allowed to come out of the furnace and air-cooled. The absolute pressure in the furnace should not be greater than 0.09Pa.
3) Solution treatment
910-940°C, 0.5-2h, water quenching.
4) Aging treatment
520-550°C, 2-4h, air cooling.
Complete stress relief annealing: 600-650°C, 1-4h, air cooling; incomplete stress relief annealing: 500-600°C, 0.5-3h, air cooling. Stress relief annealing can be performed in an air or vacuum furnace.

Application:
Titanium Billet items have round, square, or rectangular cross-segments, with an area equivalent to or more prominent than 16 square inches (103 cm squared). Billet can be produced using either standard or premium quality ingots. Billet can be machine gone to a most extreme length of 20 feet (6096 mm).
