Product Introduction

Iridium-tantalum (Ir-Ta) titanium anodes are usually used in the production of electrolytic copper foil. During electrolysis, the iridium-tantalum titanium anode acts as a source of positively charged ions, attracting copper ions to the negatively charged copper foil. As copper ions are deposited on the surface of the copper foil, the iridium tantalum titanium anode will not dissolve, keeping the electrolyte clean.

Titanium anode has the following advantages in the manufacture of electrolytic copper foil:

Strong corrosion resistance: titanium anode has excellent corrosion resistance and can withstand the harsh chemical environment of the electrolyte, thereby prolonging the service life of the anode.

Good conductivity: titanium anode for copper foil has good conductivity, which can effectively transmit current to the electrolyte.

Low redox potential: The redox potential of the iridium tantalum titanium anode is low, making it insensitive to oxides in the electrolyte, thereby reducing pollution and impurities in the production process.

High stability: The chemical stability of the Ir-Ta titanium anode is high, which can ensure the production of stable and high-quality copper foil.

In conclusion, the iridium-tantalum titanium anode is a reliable anode material widely used in the manufacture of electrolytic copper foil, which can improve the quality and performance of the product and reduce production costs.

Principle of electrolysis

During electrolysis, cations in the electrolyte migrate to the cathode, and the electrons obtained on the anode are reduced. The anions run towards the anode and lose electrons to be oxidized. Connect two electrodes in a copper sulfate solution, and pass a direct current. At this time, it will be found that copper and hydrogen are deposited on the electrode plate connected to the cathode of the power supply. If it is a copper anode, dissolution of copper and precipitation of oxygen occur simultaneously. The reaction is as follows:

Cathode: Cu2+ +2e → 2Cu

2H+ +2e → H2↑

Anode: 4OH- +4e → 2H2O + O2↑

2S042-+2H2O -4e → 2H2S04 + O2↑

The copper dissolved from the anode supplements the consumption of copper ions in the electrolyte. The cathode surface is subjected to certain treatments so that the copper layer deposited on the cathode can be peeled off, and a certain thickness of copper skin will be obtained. Copper foil with certain functions is called copper foil.

Application Case

Iridium-tantalum titanium anode is a high-performance anode material, which is usually used in the production of electrolytic copper foil. The following are some examples:

In 2012, we exported titanium anode for a Swedish company to create ultra-pure copper foil. By using this high-purity anode material, defects, and impurities on the copper foil surface can be reduced, and product reliability and performance can be improved.

Since 2010, Chinese companies uses our titanium anode for copper foils, claiming that by using this anode material, the electrochemical performance of the product can be improved, the life of the anode can be extended, and the production cost can be reduced.

In addition, iridium-tantalum titanium anodes can also be used to produce high-precision and high-strength copper foil, such as for circuit boards and solar panels. This is because it has excellent corrosion resistance and high electrical conductivity, which can ensure the production of high-quality copper foil.

In conclusion, the iridium-tantalum titanium anode has a wide range of applications in the manufacture of electrolytic copper foil, which can improve the quality and performance of the product and reduce production costs.
