BT20 titanium plate for aerospace main nominal chemical composition is Ti-6.5Al-1Mo-1V-2Zr, which is a near alpha alloy developed by the former Soviet Aeronautical Materials Research Institute in 1964, it has medium room temperature and high temperature strength, good thermal stability and welding performance, widely used in military and aerospace field.
It is a general-purpose alloy, which is mainly used to produce thick and thin plates, and can also be used to produce forgings, die forgings, bars and profiles.

Characteristic
BT20 titanium plate is a near α type high-temperature titanium alloy, the aluminum equivalent is increased by adding various alloying elements to improve the high temperature performance. Compared with the traditional α+β type titanium alloy, the near α type high-temperature Ti-6.5Al-1Mo-1V-2Zr titanium plate still has good creep resistance, fatigue resistance, oxidation resistance and thermal stability at high temperatures. Due to its high strength and light weight, It can be used in aero-engine parts to replace some nickel-based superalloys with lower specific strength, which can further improve the thrust-to-weight ratio of the engine. Because of its good process plasticity close to α+β titanium alloy and the same good welding performance as α type titanium alloy, it can be used to make engine cases and other aircraft components that work at 300-500°C.
