MMO Titanium Ribbon Anode are manufactured using solid titanium, which meets ASTM B265 Grade 1 or Grade 2 standards, which has been coated with Mixed Metal Oxide coating. It coating consists of IrO2/Ta2O5 and is suitable for use in all cathodic protection applications in various types of structures, such as pipelines, storage tanks, and marine structures. Because mixed metal oxide anodes have an extremely low consumption rate, the titanium substrate remains constant throughout the design life of the anode.
It is designed to operate in highly corrosive environments, such as saltwater, where traditional sacrificial anodes would corrode too quickly. The anodes are easy to install and have a long service life, which reduces the need for maintenance and replacement.
