Product Introduction
Titanium Gr7 anode plate refers to a type of anode made from grade 7 titanium plate, a corrosion-resistant alloy that contains palladium. These anode plates are commonly used in electroplating and electrochemical processes that require a high level of corrosion resistance and durability.
In electroplating applications, the anode plate is used as the positive electrode, where it releases ions into the electrolyte to facilitate the deposition of metal ions onto the surface of the object being plated. In electrochemical processes, the anode plate is used to generate a current or produce a chemical reaction by releasing electrons into the electrolyte.
It is used for steel strip plating EGL/ETL and electro-galvanized plate(EGL) plants. We have end users in Brazil for many years. It is characterized by good corrosion resistance, processability, weldability and painting, mainly used in steel plate galvanizing industries. Electro-galvanizing products include double-sided, single-sided and differential coating depending on different coating; The quality is the key for the quality of electroplating products;

Grade 7 titanium also named titanium-palladium alloy ,is highly corrosive in many reducing media. Titanium-palladium is a kind of titanium alloy, containing 0.1%~0.25% of palladium. Palladium is stable in air and humid environments at room temperature, and is resistant to hydrofluoric acid, Corrosion of phosphoric acid, perchloric acid, hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid vapor. The alloy contains palladium to make titanium resistant to localized corrosion in high temperature (above the boiling point) chloride. In addition, Pd is a slow eutectoid β-stabilizing element, increasing its content can reduce the sensitivity to hydrogen embrittlement. Therefore, Gr7 titanium plate is extremely resistant to crevice corrosion due to its strong corrosion resistance and hydrogen absorption capacity.
Advantage
The use of titanium anode plates can offer several advantages, including high corrosion resistance, excellent durability, and long service life.
They use the highly corrosion-resistant Gr7 anode plate as an electroplating anode for steel strip plating EGL/ETL and electro-galvanized plate(EGL) plants. Gr7 titanium plate contains 0.15% Palladium (Pd) to increase its corrosion performance, mainly under reducing conditions. It was important to provide the corrosion behavior of titanium Gr 7 anode plate in concentrated brines at temperatures higher than 100°C. It was performed in concentrated NaCl + KCl solutions containing also nitrates and fluorides. Results show that the titanium Gr7 anode plate was highly resistant to general and localized corrosion. Some specimens were polarized to potentials higher than 4 volts. None of the tightly creviced specimens suffered crevice corrosion. The presence of fluoride promoted localized corrosion around the edges of the crevice former.
